The food was delicious, everything was freshly prepared and the staff was friendly, unfortunately it was too cool for the beautiful patio, because you would be surrounded by a small "zoo", really idyllic and cozy in the countryside, very recommendable!

More history, more idyll is hardly possible! The Waldgasthof Margarethenmühle is located in complete seclusion, in the dreamlike setting of the deciduous forest of the Zweiniger Grund! And that for over 500 years! This is reflected in the rustic, historic dining room, the "old mill" and a large hall. Excellent service, very friendly and courteous service, legendary good German home cooking really invite you to linger! The overnight accommodations with over 20 beds - both in the main building and in the newly built ward building - offer the ideal conditions for group events, especially class reunions, seminar group celebrations and the like. Party together in the evening, have breakfast together in the morning! And then it goes back to the homeland, which is partly scattered around the world!

The ambience is nice and rustic and adapted to the environment. The prices are OK. The menu is not overcrowded, but it doesn't offer anything new either. The menu should be revised, including meals, in order to offer new opportunities to regular customers. The taste of the food is not great, but not bad either. The preparation time is too long for the number of guests.

We were eating here last week. Reservations recommended. We had stuffed schnitzel and fish. It was very delicious. The ambience with the many animals is also an oasis for children. Definitely worth a visit.

We were here for lunch at the Waldgasthof "Zur Margarethenmühle". The drive there is really spectacular - pure nature - narrow road through the forest - on and then at the end of the restaurant. The first impression was once - well - let's see - but then - the service super friendly and courteous, the choice of food very good and the food - a dream - you can not describe it differently - it was fantastic to dine here. The restaurant clean and good bourgeois - perfect for the cookie earth suitably. Each of our meals was a real feast for the eyes and really not only something for the eye but also for the palate - perfect. The beef fillet on the dot and buttery, the asparagus a dream and the dessert completed this perfect meal. We can only recommend everyone here to make a detour and be pampered. It certainly was not our last visit here. Many thanks for this perfect lunch.

Nice diligent family business with attention to detail After a week we can say, we were lovingly cared for and every wish was read from our eyes. As a guest we were not only king, we were emperors.

A forest hotel, which was unfamiliar as a foreigner but soon I liked it. You are welcomed by goats at the parking place. If you go for a walk around the hotel, you can fully enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are pretty clean in the charming buildings. Dining room looks amazing with variety of trophies. Food and beer tastes good. One of the best is the boiled egg in the breakfast. ... well, I miss the hotel so much :(
